Intro to ult2matlab_Bmode
-------------------------

The ult2matlab_Bmode program reads in a saved ultrasound image or loop file
(.ult) and extracts the raw BF data into a file (.mat) which can then
be loaded into matlab for easy plotting and processing. It saves
the raw data from each frame in the image loop.

Tips for using the ult2matlab_Bmode program:
--------------------------------------

1. Run the Ultrasound application and save an image or loop (.ult file)

2. Run the program ult2matlab_Bmode to create the corresponding .mat file:

3. In matlab, you can load the .mat file using the "load" command.

   You can see what data sets are loaded using the "whos" command.

   The BF data sets from the single frames are labeled "b_dataXXX", where
   XXX is the frame number (ex: 000, 001, ...).
   There will be as many frames as necessary to complete 3 seconds of the loop.

Examples:

a) To plot the 35th line of the 20th frame:

> temp=b_data020(:,35);
> plot(temp)

b) To plot its frequency content.
(Suppose a line has 3428 points, and beamformer frequency is 12 MHz, case for the 4C2 probe):

> tempf=abs(fft(temp));
> f=(12/3427)*(1:3428);
> plot(f,tempf)
